If a tree falls in a forest and no one is there to hear it, the tree still makes sound. The tree makes sound because although no one is their to hear it different noises are made such as branches breaking or leaves crunching the only difference is that no one heard it. Sound is made because the weight of the tree falls onto the ground and the only way humans can hear it is if they are near it.
